Can I configure tomcat to give me a list of hits to the site? I suppose a web counter is what I want.
Would I be better off using Apache (does it have a web counter) and tomcat together? We only use java serverlets.

I run 6 copies of 4.1.24 on a little solairs server with 512 mb mem. Each one has its own tomcat dir and each one uses a different port. I define a different JAVA_HOME for each start script thats all.

I have a url (www.abc.com) that is registered against ip address 192.169.10.10. I want my Apache webserver (192.169.10.10) to point the www.abc.com url to an Apache...
What I am trying to say is that the url points o my web server but my web server then repoints the urls to another server on the same subnet. In the server.xml file I differentiate between www.abc.com and www.bcd.com. The appbase for www.abc.com is not on the webserver but on another server...
