Restoring the Index.dat folder and file
The corrupt files are User.exe and Setupx.dll that's all. Everything else was fine, no more than just those two. Anyone know where I could get those two for Win98se? Thanks for the advice and help!- djoy

Restoring the Index.dat folder and file
Well, I have the Temporary Internet folder w/index.dat and I have in the "profile folder" the history and cookies index.dat. I use to have in windows though 2 folders that said cookies and history and they are gone now. Maybe they don't need to be restored? I also ran the system file...- djoy
