I have my main domain controller running w2k server. I want a windows 2003 server to join the domain. It's giving me an error saying it's unable to join the domain because it's a windows 2000 domain. HELP. Do i need a patch or something? thank u
That is correct. The problem is causing is that I then have to touch every client and redirect to different servername.
I never put the lps.int. I think it grabbed it when I joined the "lps" domain.
This is the deal: Server name is "WTH-DC02" Domain name is "LPS" Server (WTH-DC02) is a DC. It is also my print server with several printer queues.

Is it standard practice to have both computer and users in the same OU? I have an OU called e.g. (HR) and an OU called (workstations)where i keep all computer names in the workstation OU in the domain. Please advise.
