I have used the hyperterm with XP and from 98 as well as what i usually use SecureCRT which worked fine before i changed the ip. There has to be some way to reset the switch to defaults physically. I am connecting directly to the switch with an ethernet cable and with a console. I took the top board out of the switch and noticed the serial plug on the board. I changed the IP address on a standalone Baystack 450-24-T. After i changed the IP, I could ping the switch once i placed it in the new network. I noticed however that i cannot telnet to the switch now. I cannot also access the switch via console and was able to perfectly before. Has anyone...- dividedspace
