Hi!
There are a couple of ways to start troubleshooting that problem.
1. It could be a corrupted TCP/IP stack. It would take you a couple of minutes and two rebootes to uninstall TCP/IP and install it.
2. It could be a bad cable or port on the switch. You can ping the IP (layer 3 ICMP) but the...
The general answer is no, you are not right.
You can have just one E2K site per Forest in AD.
If your E2K is in native mode (we are not talking about windows native mode) you can not add any more E5.5 servers in the E2K site (in case you had E5.5 servers in the past in the E2K site you've had...
Hi!
Here is the config:
1. A root W2K domain - "ROOT.NET"
2. A child W2K domain - "CHILD1.ROOT.NET". There is an Exch 5.5 organization and site in this domain - "SITE1" and "ORG1".
A new Exch2000 server is installed in the existing 5.5 site, mailboxes are moved, old Exch 5.5 is deleted...
Hi!
I would recommend you to install (reinstall) the latest SP for Exchange2000 because there is a chance that it will fix your problem.
Then - switching to Exchange Native mode. You can switch to Native Mode if you do not have Exchange 5.5 servers in your site. Start the Exchange System...
Hi!
I am thinking about an old trick:
Can you add a new bigger hard drive. Partition it, format it, stop all the exchange services (I am sure that you already have moved the swap file to c: if it was on d:) and give the letter D: to the new partition and some other letter to the original D...
Hi!
Does a full restart of the IIS services fix the problem.
I think this possibility - IIS services start before the MS Exchange services. The http://domain/exchange folder is pointing to the M: drive which is not yet mounted because the Exchange services are not runing?
If a full restart of...
Hi!
Try to uninstall IIS services (if you have websites or ftp sites do not forget to back them up)
Reboot and reinstall them (do not forget NNTP and SMTP).
Try the installation again (of course you should have the latest SP4 for W2K)

Hi!
Can you give Full Control permission to a Domain Admin account over that mailbox (just temporary - from ADUC/ExchangeFeatures/Advanced/MailboxRights).
Than LogIn as that Domain Admin, open the user's mailbox and try to delete the problem e-mail?
Good Luck!
Can you check which of the Microsoft Exchange services could not start (in the services console)?
Did you try to apply SP3 for Exchange?
What errors do you have in the event log?

After deleting the Exchange 5.5 Servers you have to uninstall SRS (Site Replication Service) using the Exchange 2000 CD. Start the "setup.exe" and the in the list of components to be installed modified - remove SRS.
Then you will be able to switch to Exchange native mode.
If you have or if you can afford it - exchange 5,200,2003 will integrate better with your Microsoft Outlook.
If you do not insist on the collaboration features (you said that this is home network) - you can use linux and Squirrelmail. Works great, there are tutorials which let you install it...
