my server has 2 physical eth.one belongs to 10.1.1.0(physically and virtually ,also mngment port belongs here)
the other physical port is on another physical switch for 10.1.9.0(i created a new vswith with a vmkernel port that belongs to 10.1.9.0)
ok..........i think i've found my main mistakes
1.on the vswitch i already had a second vm from another network
2.it seems like i have routing problems
lets say now that on my servers i have 2 physical nics.i configure one for the main network 10.1.1.0/24 vswitch and the other i assign it on...
We decide to implement some virtualization at the office
We bought essential plus kit and 2 storage devices(IBM DS3512 and EMC clarion AX4)
After we setup the VC server 5 and the rest of the 3 hosts , we configured the storages
For the IBM we bought 2(one for each controller) extra iscsi...

something i didnt make clear.as i log on to my nas machine, it automatically creates the folder as the user name is.i have already created the users on the nas, so each one will have access to his/her folder only.
this as i said i found it online and i thought that...

1)the asa is old.it was there before scenario 2.
2)we had a problem with dns an we recreated the zones,also we setup a second!!! dns(either this is my problem or routing)

iam not very familiar with cisco.....at first.
we have 2 (HQ and location1) locations and they r connected with fiber.these 2 locations r very close to each other(about 200m).before they were connected lets say with 10.1.1.0/24 network.at HQ location we have everything there.at location1 there...

Mike042 what i did ......i reformat my HDD, and i created 'manually' one partition.Then i assign slice0 to my 50gb that i wanted the system to be installed.Then i assign slice1 to the rest 250gb as the folder that i want for my oracle.I dont know if that is what i should do from the beginning...
......Guys thanx for the replies..Thats why i post here :).All of my 8 slices(0-7)are for my first part. and mounted accordingly,indeed 2 is for my whole part..Mike042 i will try that.........still cant find the second partition.How am i gonna 'search' for it?

Mike042 thanx for your reply.......see that is my problem which device/slice i will do newfs???the 0-7 slices are for my 50 gb partition.how can i see which /dev/dsk/cxdxsx is my second 250gb partition?...if it "relies" in there :)!!!
