Sorry - another question on this procedure --
there is currently a lot of administration associated with this DS1 , SP-Link 2 , sig group 2 , there is a PI-Ext 289.
Is it still OK to simply " remove ds1" ?
I want to re-use a ds1 board currently connected to an MCU " no longer in use"
Can I simply change the connect type from PBX to Network and attach it the the new carier PRI?
on change ds1 command ---I get a warning " check implementation manual, changing this field my cause corruption
Ok, so it looks like I'll need to have the carrier convert the existing T1 to PRI - they claim they can't provide custom DNIS digits.
Is the Magix National or ATT Custom ?
I have also heard there are issues taking an existing Legend DS1 card from T1 to PRI - any truth to that ?
Is it possible to any DNIS conversions on the Legend for a standard wink/wink T1 ?
I see something in the Doc's about S56 where I can globally delete digits and add on the span but it refers to only to data extensions
Carrier is sending last 7 digits on a standard T1
( Not PRI). I need to delete 7 digits and add 3
Example: 587-4422 needs to route to 300
1 - Can I use the PRI routing table for a statndard T1
2- It looks like I can only translate 16 diffrent patterns butI have 27 unique 7 digit numbers...
SYQUEST
I hear this a lot from the carriers "you need a channel bank to provide FXS" ( loop/ground start).
Intresting that some carriers have no problem deliverying the channels in is fashion when others have no idea on how to do it.
Since the Legend can be programmed to look like a channel bank...
In reference to thread689-791762,
I have an existing T1 with channels configured as Ground start.
The new carrier can on only provide wink w/ DNIS. I thought there was a way to off hook route these channels on inbound by using type= AUTO and basicly emulate the operation of ground start channels.
Need to restrict room to room calling, but must retain the ability for the front desk to transfer these calls.
Tryed setting COR permissions to N for COR 10 ( room phones) but attn. can't transfer.
Tryed setting station-staion controlled restriction but makes the phone busy and no one can call...
Franke;
Thanks for the reply. We did fix this over the weekend and it was a bandwidth issue. The carrier of the frame circuit only had a CIR of 256K preventing us from getting more then 4 channels.
Have 2 Magix Ssystems networked thru Cisco 3810 routers. The Cisco routers are using "clear Channel". D channel comes up and works fine BUT Cisco only sees 4 of the 12 channels programmed in the Magix b channel group. If we delete the 4 working channels a diffrent set of channels come...
