no, the antivirus that is running on it is symantec corporate. this was working just fine three weeks ago then the guy removed the machine from the domain. we have since re-added it but the messages remain and the email functionality just isn't happening.
Here is the deal. I have a webmaster inside my office that is trying to have a site send email to an inside email address. When he first set this up it did not work because the server was not on the domain so i think exchange was rejecting the mail. I joined it to the domain and logged it in and...
hrmmm, that is a good suggestion. i have to be honest though...i am not sure where i would go to change the "mode" of the actual device. i would assume the device properties in the hardware manager?
i will look around and see if i can find it.
yeah i have the latest vxa2 driver.
like i said...the issue is pretty much that when you start ntbackup it automatically creates it's own media pool. that media pool is defaulting to vxa1 media type. even after i change it....it STILL sees it as vxa1.
very irritating.
the total backup scene kind of looks like this...
i have arcserve running on my win2k fileserver and it does the network backup. a number of different app's but the majority of the backup is the fileserver itself and our sql server. it tips in around 280gb. on the exchange box all i backup is...
thanks for the advice and i actually considered that, but...my information store is tipping the scales at 112gb. doing that would greatly increase the time table of the backup procedure.

It doesn't matter what I do to these users or lists it seems i cannot prevent users from spontaneously falling out of distribution lists.
sometimes it is the same user over and over...other times it is just random people.
out of an exchange organization of 200+ recipients it only happens to a...
netlogon errors are 5790 and 5723.
both errors are pointing to a broken trust or corrupt or missing computer account. strangely...these errors are on a machine that is no longer a global catalog. these errors also reference computer accounts that no longer exist.
one thing has come up in my...
