    installing memory

    my computer calls for pc2100 ram and by accident I bought and installed pc2700. The computer recognizes the memory and I haven't had any problems as of yet. Will this cause any problems down the road.

    is there any way to remove the notification icons at the bottom left hand side of windows xp? I have a safely remove hardware icon that I can not remove.

    pop ups?

    I'm getting pop up ads after installing windows xp pro. I previously had xp home and did not encounter this problem. I have not downloaded any files or programs. It seems to be directly related to the xp pro. Has anyone else had problems with this.
