good to backup every chance you get. the pc card only holds the port count and the last backup that was done. you should of course do a backup to the new card once it is installed.

Upgrade to winSPM R9 it is on the avaya website. I use win7 and winSPM9 and have no problems. My laptop doesn't have a com port either so I purchased a USB to Serial adapter and that works well too.
