I have posted this on the ISAserver.org forum and a microsoft forum but have had no response so I was wondering whether any of you guys could answer this. Changing computer name, but netbios name remained the same
The pc's are in a workgroup at the moment. Didn't have the problem with any other name changes, just this machine. It had changed the Full Computer Name correctly but for some reason it left the NetBios computer name the same.- ddent

Changing computer name, but netbios name remained the same
We changed one of the computer names on a PC on our network to fit with the company policy and rebooted, but the netbios name failed change. Has anyone experienced this before and if so what was the cause and solution. We ended up having to edit the registry which is obviously not the best way...- ddent
