Its not uncommon for a person to script out port scanning software or similar software to detect vulnerable software or open ports.. Using your logs target the top offenders and block them at the highest point you can. Also remember to update all firmware on routers/firewalls and windows update.
Jimbo your treading on privacy rights and awhole lot of other issues with the above topic. Review your company policies and see if anything regards things like this or capture of network activity.. If not consult HR..

Aight bud.. Never trust any product 100% even if u spend couple grand into it. I have no experience with the product your using but this advise may help you..
