I have figured out there seems to be two ways to insert a .wav file into a field. (OS X Tiger / Filemaker 8.5 Pro Advanced)
I can insert a Quicktime container field and direct it to a .wav file and can then click on the field and play the file via the little quicktime controls but unfortunately...
For a linguistic study, we will making voice recordings (must be uncompressed .wav files) and would like to use FM Pro 8.5 (for OS X), to store the files and related data.
My question: In FM Pro, can we store a .wav file in one field and related text documentation in other fields of the same...
Can a FM Pro 8.5 Adv. client database on an OS X workstation import / export to MS Sharepoint (Sharepoint Services/ Windows Server 2003) ?
Or do you have to use a MS Access client DB ?
In an upcomiing project, we are contemplating uploading wav sound files, etc. to MS Sharepoint 2003 (Sharepoint Services/ Windows Server 2003) from OSX Tiger workstations.
The data would live on the workstations in Filemaker Pro 8.5 Advanced or possibly MS Access 2004 for OS X.
We would...
I have two w2k machines arranged in a peer to peer TCP/IP network hung off a linux firewall box on a university network. (the firewall allows SSH in and out.)
Using SSH, I would like to be able to place and retrieve files to and from these two w2k machines from home.
I believe I have to set...
I have set several XP pro machines on a network via the Sysprep/Ghost cloning process and just noticed when checking some file and folder permissions that, besides Administrator,
User etc, they now also have one name that begins with a ? then a little single face followed by...
I guess I haven't been very clear in my description. As soon as I started up in Safe mode and discovered the multiple network adapters listed, I tried to Remove them with Device Manager and it wouldn't let me remove a single one of them. I can't remember what the particular denial message was...
I tried that the very first thing after booting up in Safe mode. I also restarted from Safe mode a number of times in order to try some of the things I mention above. No improvement.
I was testing 3 or 4 network cards by turning of the machine (a fully updated XP Pro AMD machine) and substituting them one at a time for the machine's normal Network card and restarting. Everything was going normally until someone came by and using their breath a la birthcake candle style...
I am doing a clean install of XP Pro because of some kind of viral or worm compromise of the machine. I deleted the NTFS partition and thought I should do something to make sure that the MBR isn't harboring any unwanted guests. When I started to use the fixmbr command it warned me that...
Not sure what you mean by this last advice. I have Tweak UI 2.00.1.0 for XP and it doesn't have any "Common Dialogue" section.
Also, if I was to add one subfolder to My Pictures, I could simply do that my creating a subfolder there and starting its name with an "a" so that...
Thanks for replying but ... No, I am trying to find out how to change the default view for the "Save" dialogue boxes that occur when you are saving to "My Pictures" or one of its subfolders. You have told me how to change the default views for general Explorer windows...
Does anyone know how to customize the Save Dialogue box so that it doesn't always revert to the Thumbnail choice, when saving graphic images to the My Pictures folder?
No matter what View Menu choice on the Dialogue Box I select, the next image I save reverts to a Thumbnails view Save dialogue...
This is XP Pro and I did not knowingly set it up as a dual boot as the w2k load is corrupted and I will delete it as soon as I have migrated my user files.
As a fix for my posted problems, people are telling me I need to unplug the w2k, format and reinstall the XP and then plug the w2k back in...
