    I figured it out, you have to uncheck the contiguous box for it to get "in between" the black areas too.. Thanks for the help though =)

    hmm, it looked like it worked, when I hit cut, all the black disappeared but then when I went to paste into the new image, the white was there again =(

    What should the tolerance be set on to do that? any other settings?

    That would take days to select each thing individually, there are guitard chord grids, chord names, and music on a staff.. Is there a way to select everything black in the image all at once? That's really what I need to do I think?

    I have a 1 bit black and white png file (black notation on white background) I want to be able to "lift" the black notation off the white background and put it onto a texture/pattern of my choosing. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I'm using PSP 10
