The last working progman.exe is contained in the Windows XP Service Pack 1a (can be downloaded freely at microsoft.com). Later versions of progman.exe (in Windows XP Service Pack 2) are only "stubs" which execute the explorer process. Progman.exe is not included in Windows Vista. I also don't...- davidschpc

Hi It's now possible to run the old File Manager winfile.exe from Windows NT 4.0 (which is contained in the freely down- loadable Service Pack 6a for Windows NT 4.0 at www.microsoft.com) also under Windows Vista.
