I tried it with a different user and turning off the security software and it seems to work now. Thanks for all the assistance.
With reference to previous answers, I don't have a Windows XP CD - the operating system and software was pre-installed by PC World before I bought the computer (5...
I tried turning System Restore off and then on again and it made no difference. I tried reistalling System Restore and that appeared to work although I didn't get any message to say it had completed the installation - it just ended. After I rebooted and ran System Restore, all my previous...
XP System restore not working. It doesn't matter which restore point I choose, on reboot it says "Unable to restore from " and the restore point name. I tried manually creating a restore point today but it can't restore from that either. The windows event viewer shows no error, just an...
I have a database table that contains three columns: var_name, var_value and timestamp. var_name and var_value are both integers and timestamp is a date/time field. There are many rows for each value of var_name containing a different var_value and the timestamp is when the row was written.

I have a requirement to create tickets in Remedy from NNM and I just wondered if anyone here has done this and can give me some pointers on how to do it?
HPOV will be version 7.5.1 and Remedy will be version 6.
Thanks

It's USB and the Scanwise software they provide works fine or I can scan direct into other programs e,g, Paintshop Pro

It's Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 1
The devices are not USB, so far as I know - they're permanently fixed into the computer case. They certainly aren't plugged into any of the USB ports
The devices are still connected ( at least I assume so as I've not touched them). They do not show in Device Manager or the "Safe to remove hardware" icon. I haven't looked at the BIOS yet, but there is no reason why that should have changed either.
At home I have a Packard Bell desktop PC and it has two drives for removable media - one for a CF Microdrive and one for a SD Memory card. These used to be drives H: and I: in Windows XP.
However, I noticed yesterday that drives H: and I: are no longer showing in My Computer or Windows...
