First off, you are correct about liking the concept before considering how usable it looks once its done -- and no, I don't like the look of it. As I play with it, and now that it works:

I am less and less entranced with it...
I am designing a table-less site.
On the left side of the site, I want to have this kind of navigation:
or (image altered mildly to clarify what the links mean -- I'll play with how it looks slater)
This navigation is supposed to show the current stack in the first section (Home ->...
I am trying to read an RSS Feed and then format the data on an .ASPX Web page.
My problem seems to be, what objects do I use to grab it, and from there, how to break it apart? After that, I can do everything else.
I can't find useful documentation for the Open Source RSS.NET (...
I have a Windows XP: Professional-based PC and two optical mice, one uses as USB port, the other the old PS2 serial port.
When playing games, or just using the computer (any old time), the optical mouse will go dead, the light will turn off, and I will have to wait for 10 to 30 seconds for the...
On my wife's PC (stats below) when she moves her mouse, changes windows (or moves those) her speakers distort (make fuzzy noises) in synch with her actions. Regardless of her activity, they give a little distortion.
She has a 1.3 Gigahertz Athlon with a built in sound card and a GeForce 2 MX...
It is not available to install. I can install most other kinds of adapters, services, etcetera, but not this one. I have already uninstalled my NIC card and all services, then reinstalled to see if it would come up. http://www.afn.org/~afn26470/
I cannot install or find File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks on this Windows XP Professional PC. It's there on the PC next to it, but not this one.
I can't figure out how to get the option to appear. This PC has always been this way, from the day I set up XP on it. Windows 2000...
Okay okay, I found the BIOS upgrade here. You giving me the exact name made that a SNAP in Google.

I found the VIA 4in1 here:

Just so you know what I installed, precisely, and any other Gigabyte owner's...
My God bluescreen69 that is a helpful post, I can't believe how stupid I feel overlooking the obvious but I didn't know "A latest BIOS and driver update are required in order to run Windows® XP stably".
THANK YOU.
Let me go do this and I'll post the results back here...
Oddly enough I played with some drivers and it's not doing it now. I have a new thought... CD protection.
When I have games with CD protection in this Toshiba DVD-Rom things stutter (like Morrowind). Cracked NO-CD games were stuttering but since the resent slew of driver updates they appear...
paparazi was right. My SCSI card was the problem, I took it out, got into the BIOS, reset everything up, and it's working beautifully now.
Thank you paparazi! http://www.afn.org/~afn26470/
Aside from the fun with my wife's PC's power supply dying, my new PC is giving me trouble. In any game I run and in the middle of the Operating System it will randomly pause for 3 to 5 seconds and then continue. I've updated my Nvidia drivers and Motherboard drivers. I'm running Windows XP...
The new powersupply (replaced free of charge than God) works perfectly, but resetting the BIOS screwed me. The PC won't boot and won't go into setup, even though all the devices test correctly.
Head to this thread:
thread602-374141 http://www.afn.org/~afn26470/
All this from the bad advice of a friend of mine regarding this thread:
thread602-373653 so it was a bad power supply, which my local computer store replaced free of charge. The new power supply is in and working.
However, before I figured that out, I took out the BIOS battery and left it out...
Hmmm, I should invest in a UPS, this is true. They're all running off the same wall sockets, technically. I mean one switch shuts off the whole room.
Athlon 700 overclocked to 950, Voodoo 3 3000, SCSI CDRW (Yamaha), CD-ROM, 2 hard drives, 2 extra fans, SB16 plug and play (oldie but a goodie)...
