    Nortel 8x24 DR5 can't dial 9 on ATA

Every since we updated a customers 8x24 to DR5 and added a 2 port Flash to it they can no longer pull a CO line by dialing 9 on conference phones we have connected to ATA's. Yes the Lines are in CO Group A and the ATA's have access to them. Thanks, Dave

Dial 9 access from an ATA

Have the same issue after an upgrade of an 824 to DR5 to support a Flash Voicemail system. Have two ATA's that can be dialed and can dial internally, but dialing 9 does nothing! No busy, just breaks dialtone but doesn't pull a line. Dialing 9 from any digital phone pulls a line. All lines are...

want to change from vm answer to live person

RikRodgers or anyone, Can you elaborate on the use of Night Service in this scenario? I don’t have any experience setting up Night Service so detailing some steps would be helpful. I have a customer who has AA answering after 4 rings during the day as a backup but would like it to answer...

KLM on an 8x24 and cabling?

I called my supplier, the KLM module only works on the M7324 as the BLF module only works on the M7310. And just for future reference, the T24 KLM Module for T series phones only works on the T7316E (it must be an E). What was Nortel thinking? Thanks for your comments, Dave

KLM on an 8x24 and cabling?

Is it true the NT8B41 KLM is only compatible with the M7324? Does anyone know where I can find wiring instruction on how to install a KLM. I know it requires a 24v power supply but does it also use a separate port or does it share a port with the phone it's bridged thru? Thanks, Dave

    Default Route for DID digits?

Phoneguy427 is correct, they're getting a busy signal. Finally found someone at Bellsouth to enter the order for Digit Manipulation, of course it won't happen until next year. Thanks and have a great Holiday!

    Default Route for DID digits?

Referring back to an issue I posted: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1237250&page=1#postform Is there such thing as a default for undefined DID digits? We have been trying to get Bellsouth to process an order for Digit Manipulation for 4 months now with no luck. I did however find...

    MICS 7.0 Virtual Extensions?

They don't have physical extensions. We worked it out, we created a CCR tree as follows: Option one, if your calling for xyz group dial 1. Options 1-4 list the people in this group and Externally transfer to them. They ended up having DID numbers so it made things easy. The...
