The user uses a ccourt reporting software called Eclipse that requires a 'key' to work. The 'key' can be either a parallel port adapter or usb, and this user uses a usb key, so I know the usb ports are functioning, which is why this is 'ticking me off'! I'm gonna back up the registry and zap...

Thanks, I even tried that from the lexar website. However, what I did find that when the hdware is detected it says 'jumpdrive secure' and when I looked on lexars website, it shows that the jumpdrive secure is for w2k, so maybe that is why when I try to install the drivers for win98se, it just...

Dell GX 110 will not read a a Lexar jumpdrive. I tried downloading a few drivers to no avail. The OS is Win98SE..... I also have a dell usb flash drive that would not work on this same box.

The forums aren't much help.....even contacted an authorized HP repair place and they are 'checking into it', since he has not had to deal with that on an LJ III before. Someone suggested the test buttone may be stuck....fooled with that to no avail. Still stumped!! :-(

We have several HP LJ III's, but this is the first time I've seen this error message and I can't really find anything on it. One person told me the DC controller, so we swapped that out, but we still get that message.... Any tips??
