I've developed an Access 2000 subroutine for sending e-mail by SendObject function, using MAPI and Outlook Express 6 as mapi client.
Environment is Windows 2000 Server.
My target is sending e-mail nightly, so I created a macro launching subrouting and I wrapped all in a .bat file, which has been...
I ommitted to say that I don't want to configure each client... I use TSAC in browser version, so that I have not to install NOTHING over the client, except of TS activex client, installed through browser.
With Windows 2000 TS, I want to get this target:
configuring 2 different RDP-TCP TS connection, one with auto-logon, so that users have not to login, and one other with explicit logon.
In that way I could setting a particular application to the "automatic user" and low security...
You can install all of your TSCAL licenses on the licence server.
The server will assign one for clients automatically, the first time the client will connect to the server via RDP or ICA.
One problem is controlling wrong accesses from clients not interessed ....
But the main problem for me is...
To "thejaggy"... I think it's not correct what you said. If you have NT workstation, but your server is Windows 2000 TS, YOU HAVE TO BUY TSCAL for each client.. )-:.
I think it's could be too much expensive if you have 3 thousands clients with NT workstation as I have, even because...
How many times I have to relicense? Each time a temporary license expire? That's many times every day!
Even if I had only one PC for each individual employee for 100 years, I should have 3000 TS licenses and 50 Citrix licenses.. isn't it?
I don't think that's a bug... that's Microsoft license...
It should be too easy.... Even if I'll buy 30 TS licences, I'll have same problem...
Infact, today, another of my customers had same problems with 50 Citrix licences and 50 TS Licenses... but he had 3000 potentially clients that could connect.
I think I should have 50 Citrix Licenses and 3000...
My server is W2k Ts SP2, with Citrix Metaframe 1.8 Sp3.
Today one of my users (WinNt client with Citrix client)cannot access to citrix: with Event viewer I have found that ts temporary license has expired (Server have 50 Citrix license and 20 Ts license, and nobody is connected now).
I've read...
Anyone knows how I can get automatic logon for a group of user in TS, without Citrix, without "automatic logon" at connection level (that is for all user), without any hardware add-on (second network card and so on), without "anonymous users"
and without implementing client...
I have a problem like that, with Win2000 and Metaframe 1.8. But my server is in a LAN, and my client connects to the LAN via RAS.
There is no problem, if my client works with RDP-TCP protocol (Microsoft Terminal Server) on the same server.
But if my client try to work with ICA-TCP, after few...
In the past months I understood that the solution for automatic client printer mapping is to install a compatible driver printer on Terminal (Citrix) Server, and/or eventually aliasing its name in the wtsuprn.inf file, mapping client driver name with TS driver name.
Recently I heard that if the...
Ok, CitrixEngineer, but ... what about my problem (wrong default printer) ?
My "anonymous user" are now 15 and they are going to be 50 (50 licenses) when many users will connect to my publication (autocreation of user anonymous). I can't set for them a terminal server profile, because...
The Brother printer driver was already installed (with Windows 2000) and there is even in "ntprint.inf" file.
It is already the default printer on the client(but thanks for the tips about "defptr.exe", that may be useful).
Infact Citrix Server remaps driver correctly (I can...
