I started my first website last week using Xara Webstyle4 for template, graphics, menus, photo pages etc. and Frontpage 2003 for text. I uploaded via WS HTP Pro and it all works on the web as advertised.
Now, I want to display family tree info on the pdf files that are exported from family...
Thanks for your ideas, audioPro.
I probably should have mentioned that I started in electronics the same year the transistor was designed (1959), so I'm really not planning a webdesign career. In fact, after 40 years in electronics, I retired in 2000.
All I really want to do is build a...

Hi -- In the control panel, the schema is set to Home/Office desk, the monitor is set to 10 minutes and the hard drive is set to "never".
*** While sitting and staring at my system, I just noticed that the hard drive light is flashing periodically!! I suppose that (something running in the...
[dazed]All I want to do is turn the monitor off after 10-15 minutes or so. My cpu/display power management simply does not work. None of the possibilities are "Ghosted", I can select various options, times etc. and they appear to "save" in the registry; they just don't work. I have searched...
I am replacing a 8 Gigabyte HD (C: drive) with a 80 Gigabyte drive. The current drive is formatted FAT32 and has WIN XP PRO as a OS. The new drive is formatted NTFS and is currently empty.
Question: How do I transfer the data across different formats; FAT32 to NTFS, and still make a...
I didn't try to boot from floppy after this problem appeared.
I uninstalled the device and the controller and shut down. While shut down, I replaced the floppy cable. After rebooting, it works again. Boy, am I "rusty" on troubleshooting. Thanks for the reply. daldous
I loaded WIN XP pro on a new hard drive (after a hard drive crash with XP Home upgrade) and now my single a:\ drive will not read floppies! It says my disks are not formatted. When I try to format, it says it cannot format them. I checked bios set-up and I bought a new floppy --- same symptoms...
Problem Solved!!
The default profile for User Switching is apparently "Fast User Switching". I turned "Fast User Switching" off and the problem disappeared. All users in any order may now use the printer.
You put me on the right track!
Thank you for your efforts!!

Thanks for the suggestions. No change so far.
I stated earlier that I "upgraded" to XP. Actually, I bought a new hard drive, loaded Win98se, then without loading anything else (including printer drivers), I immediatly upgraded to XP. Then I loaded the Canon Multipass 4.0 suite...
Thanks for the help. It turns out the driver signing was already selected to "warn" and I have been able to "force" install the Sylvania driver version 3.10.0.0 (which under Win98se provided for higher pixel rates than 800X600). The driver does seem to install okay per your...
XP doesn't support my Sylvania F74 17" monitor!!
They say the driver is not digitally signed. When it searches for the "best driver" it defaults to PNP VGA Monitor and limits my pixels to 800X600. On Win98se I normally used 1080X768 and had available a level or two beyond...
Printer worked fine on WIN98se. After "upgrade" to XP; If you are 1st user after boot (LPT1:), printer works fine for whoever is 1st after boot. Switch to 2nd user(whoever is 2nd), prnter cannot initialize. Message box about MPservices...etc. Either user can Goto control panel-->...
