version 4.0.6.0, the latest release has a known bug with VRRP.

My bad didn't read the entire post, we have the same problem with version 4.2.1.004 so it isn't fixed in that version..

We did run into this, try upgrading the 5510 to version 4.2.1.004 and along with the diag and mirroring worked however we are only able to mirror one port at a time...

Don't remove all the config and ldap files just all the old ones or ones you don't need.....

Remove all the old config files and LDAP files in the directory's: /ide0/system/config /ide0/system/slapd/ldif And remove any other versions of software not being used, but don't remove the running version!!! You should always keep two versions (one running and the other as backup)...

As a technical standpoint and working with both Cisco and Nortels support; if the Cisco was $100,000 more than the Nortel I'd still go with the Cisco. Thats unless you like to drink Alcohol heavily......

Actually 4.0 is the latest version out, we just upgraded to it. So far so good but time will tell...

I have two Cisco routers configured for HSRP and they are plugged into Nortel switches and work fine. You said they are connected "together with a trunk" not sure what you mean by that. Does it work if you plug the Cisco's into another switch/hub?

I almost forgot, I'm not bias I just work with both products and know, Nortels software is usually a nightmare. I work with their Passport and Contivity products and their software always seems to have bugs on basic operating stuff? If you can afford it I'd strongly suggest Cisco (pay now or...

The reason Cisco is better is Software and Support, Try working with Nortel support, I don't think they know their own products....

I've seen this problem, (8600) running version 3.5.4.1. Seems the only fix is to reboot which is a bummer because you can't save any changes to the config that you had made prior. The cause seems to be sessions not being logged out for some reason.
