    conflict between embedded and referenced javascripts in same page

    Can someone help a young fledgling in javascript, like my self, figure out how to get a sliding javascript menu (left column - embedded in the HTML), and a pop out menu - (top bar - references two external js files) to cooexist peacefully on the same page. I know they both work independantly...
