Are you pressing the auto callback button at the time the line is ringing busy or ringing no answer? If you do then you will get the confirmation tone and your button will be lit.
If I understand your question, and you are trying to program a System list from a telephone set - this can not be done. System lists can only be done via access to the switch (SAT or ASA).
Personal and Group lists can be done via a telephone with the program access code etc...

On a Merlin Legend or Magix system can the number of rings be programmed per phone or is it a system global setting and changes it for everyone?
