Babaton,
We had a similar issue and it turned out to be our Antivirus software was blocking the smtp messages. Our client was set to block outgoing smtp and labeled it as spamming. Have you checked that?
cnthomp,
Are you in an AD environment? We have an AD and Novell setup here and found the same problem when our Novell network was the DHCP. On the AD network side, our network admin had to also force the ports on our Cisco 2900s that the printers were in down to 10 half. If you find anything...
leighturner,
I have several users that we have replaced their Palm Vs and Tungstens to the T3. Our approach here to the upgrade is to backup the entire Palm folder, remove the existing Palm software, and install fresh from the T3 CD/software. Copy the users folder and users.dat file back. We...
Corporate has set the policies not to give users admin rights to anything but there own folders/files. We are trying to convince them this is a bad idea. :(
To tekquest;
The printers are attached through NDPS and/or local to the workstations. Users started noticing this problem about a week ago. First thought it was LAN issues because we upgraded some of our Cisco switches and routers, but the problem seems to be across our WAN now.

Anyone else seen this problem.
Users are complaining that the print dialog box takes 2 to 3 minutes to open. Our config is Win2K, IE5.5 SP1 and SP2, Novell Client 4.81 sp3 with NDPS. Problem started a week ago. Tried stopping spooler and restarting - no effect.
Any help appreciated.

We have seen a similar problem in our environment with our user policies. We had to check the registry entry HKLM\Software\Netware\NDPS and HKLM\Software\Netware\NDPS\Installed Printers. Everyone needed Full Control. We added this group and the problem was fixed.
Thanks for all the help. Had to logon to the laptop without locally and bypass our Novell scripts. Was able to decrpyt the files after changing user back to a local admin.
:)
All our users are set as Power Users and I need to run Disk Defragmenter on their PC's under their user ids. Anyone know what the executable is for the defrag program? Trying to find it so I can run the program as a system user when people login to the network.
Replying to pddxr,
The files in question are on the laptop. The user account is still on the laptop. Tried changing the attributes on the hidden System Volume information folder, resetting the ownership of the files, and trying to access the files as local admin. This still did not work...
Company initiated a policy to encrypt the folder on all laptops. The user has now left the company and we need to access the files before redeploying the PC.
The environment is Win2K pro, Novell 4.81 client, and the user is Power user status on the laptops.
So from what I've read above, the...
