    the best way to get around this problem is to get an analouge-to-digital converter ie. a video cam. and plug the vcr into that. the video cammera will prossess the data and will result in a musch more stable signal. otherwise do what 'felixc' said and use yyour capture device.

    the url stays the same although i am using java script to parse vars through the url to determine what page is shown. the tags are being depleted under the w3c strict complaint. Also aparrantly there are better ways around it... thats what i want to find out. I am prepared to stay with frames...

    It didnt seem to work. whatever i set the src to in the iFrame tags is what it is. and if i leave them blank, the iframe is blank. i tried changing .location into .src but same result. btw i have no idea how to process the query string.

    Using frames might be a good idea but it would be even better if you used an iFrame as the url in your browser changes. I don't know if this helped.
