Yeah, I have DHCP on the new network. When I pointed the old network PC at the new DNS server I did not change the IP address. I did make sure that I can ping the DNS server fron the client. The new domain is windows 2003 active directory. Thanks for your help so far.

Sorted it, When I unplugged the SCSI disk from the mobo and into the array controller I reused the mobo slot for the DLT drive. It didn't like it. Switching the DLT drive the other slot sorted it out.

A route print shows nothing even close when the interface is not connected. Once connected it shows the necessary route tied to the assigned DHCP IP address for the interface.
