I ran SFC last night and it took awhile. I found a few exe files they say may be corrupt. Should I download them from my original CD? I still see mey errors,so I guess I should run the celan backup - how hard is it for a novice computer person?

I have been having fatal exception errors and when I go to my troubleshooting info on my computer, it tells me that I need to repair vxd files which some of which are missing etc and I being a novice with computers are a bit confused - can anyone point me in the right direction and show me step...

I went to Windows 98 troubleshooting on my computer and it mentioned going to check all these vxd files and if not there delete them. I am confused and not sure what files I should delete - my VMM32 file has not been modified since 1998 according to the computer so what next .......

Rob2806 , I checked both fans and both looked god and were running. I think I have a registry problem and I ran Norton Registry checker etc and cleaned it up - but I think h=it hasn't gone away... any other suggestions......
