Are all the X5355's the same? We are looking at upgrading a PE2900 we have to a X5355 cpu. I can purchase this chip for a little over 1000 from cdw. Dell wants over 1700 for the same chip. cdw is the retail boxed with heatsink and fan. Is there a difference in these chips? they are both 1333mhz...

Other servers are a combination of 2000 and 2003. I can connect to the 2003 servers fine as well...everything but this one and the configurations are the same as they are built from images. Both server and client signing is set for disabled.

resolved the issue. it had to do with the fact that we did not have the SNP hotfix from Microsoft installed to our server images.

I had an opportunity to review these settings. Everything is connected at and running at 1000mbps. However in windows 2003 task manager | network tab the max it will ever display is network throughput of 50%. Is this a bug or limitation in the software? Thanks
