We successfully installed SBS 2003 sp2 on a new server but can't open the Server Management module, launchconsole.exe. The error message tells us that we don't have rights or permission to open the file. We're logged in as the administrator so we do have the rights. Any suggestions? We need...
My only experience with this type of issue is investing the registry as described above and also searching all peachtree .ini files to make sure the version number is correct. Hope this helps.
Found it! In checking the ini files on the server, there was one file, verinfo.ini, that showed the version to be 14.0.03 rather than 14.0.05. Changing it to .05 allowed the workstations to upgrade without an issue. I would have gone ballistic if I paid Peachtree Support $300 for this simple fix.
Thanks for your continued help. I made the same changes on the workstations and made a little progress but the installation still failed. During the install, 2 new screens appeared, the first was the large green, "Peachtree Accounting Update" screen, and the 2nd a warning pop-up to deactivate...
Thanks for your detailed response. I followed your instructions, changing the last digit of the version number to zero in all keys where the version number was 14.0.05. I applied SR5 and it was a clean install. However, I get the same message when upgrading on the workstation. The firewall is...
We're running Complete Accounting 2007 SR3 on a MS network. When closing the program on the workstations the SR5 update tries to install but can't, we get a message that SR5 has to be applied on the server first. We think we have successfully applied it to the server but get this message on the...
I'll check it out but it's pretty straight forward. You select "exclude or include", pick a file attribute like "created before" and then select a date from a drop down calender.
Thanks for your suggestions. The clients are definately 11.1.
What do you mean by shortname filters? All we are doing is
selecting from the drop down list to ignore files that were
created before a certain date.
Thanks for your continued interest.
We're running Arcserve 11.1 on a Novell 5.1 sp6 network. Using Manager, if we add any filter to a client workstation, xp or 98, and then try to save the backup job, Arceserve Manager crashes. If there are no filters on the client workstations then the job is saved and runs without a hitch...
