Can anyone help me with a batch file?
I need to be able to automatically change the network settings on a computer from general to alternate config with a batch file.
Also I need a batch file enter the IP address, gateway, subnet mask and DNS settings in the alternate tab.
Can anybody help me with situation?

Thanks Lawnboy, nslookup definitely helped out except I still can't get the computer name, because the computer is a laptop. With nslookup I am able to get pc names of desktops but not laptops.
Do you guys know of any software out there that can trace an IP address on a network and tell me the computer name, not just the mac address of the pc?
