    How do you do dhcp?

If I want to make my Ethernet 0 a dhcp client, what is the command? All of my manuals, and books are too old to have this info. I'm running the latest IOS on a 2611.

    2500 Hardware problem....maybe?

The IOS image was given to me by a guy at work. The part that I'm worried about is the message at boot... ERR: Invalid chip id 0x80B5 (reversed = 0x1AD ) detected in System flashcisco 2500 (68030) processor (revision C) with 16380K/2048K.Processor board serial number 01759382 X.25 software...

    Password Recovery

Thanks for the fast reply. It worked. I've already reconfigured the router, but I just wanted to know what the old password was. Now I know. ;) Thanks again.

    Password Recovery

Is there a utility to decrypt a masked password in a cisco config file? I just got a cisco 3600. I used the password recovery to make my own, but out of curiosity I want to see what the old password was. Thanks in advance

Why can't I see my website?

I've got the traffic for port 80 directed to the correct ip addy......so all I have to do is remove "ip nat pool global 12.(external) 12.(external) netmask 255.255.255.0" ....correct? P.S. Thanks for taking the time to help me with this.

Why can't I see my website?

I tried removing the NAT pool, but it's in use. I guess I have to rebuild my configuration....again.

Why can't I see my website?

Still doesn't work. Took out "no ip classless" and removed "ip default-gateway 12.xxx.xxx.xxx". Still can't see myself......unless I use my dialup connection on my laptop.....or just get outside of my network.

Why can't I see my website?

I have fixed everything, but the "default gateway setting". I assume you mean to remove "ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 12.(gateway)" ? Do I just remove that line?....or replace it with something else?

Why can't I see my website?

Why can't I see my website or my mail server from inside my network going out. Like with the url. I can only see it by the internal address. It used to work fine with my little linksys router, but now I'm trying to learn cisco. I can ping both by name from within my network.....i.e...

Can't reach ip addy's that begin with "12"

Degg: That does make things clear.....or clearer. :) That's not actually my subnet mask. I edited it for this post, but I understand what you are saying. Thanks again.

Can't reach ip addy's that begin with "12"

Thank you all for your help. I'm new to cisco, and am still learning. I'm trying to teach myself a few things, then take some classes.....it's like the blind leading the blind. :) Degg: Thanks for the help! I tried the "ip classless" and it worked! Now my question is....what does...

Can't reach ip addy's that begin with "12"

Just wanted to add that when I use my Linksys router, everything works fine.....so it's not a problem with the ISP.
