Success. I created the array in the bios, but didn't build it there (contrary to the directions). I loaded the Promise PAM utility. When I opened the utility, I saw that the array (mirror) was being created. Afterwards, the computer booted with no error messages.
I don't know if I HAD to...
Hey Ski,
Thanks for the reply.
The drivers for the TX-2000 were installed to Windows before the primary drive was connected to the card and booted for the first time.
The system booted from the primary drive when it was set up as a stripe without the second drive in place.
I used new IBM...
I have a Promise FastTrak TX-2000 RAID controller that I'm trying to install. Twice now it has crapped out my boot drive. I followed the instructions carefully both times.
I'm running an Asus P4P800-MX with two Maxtor 6Y120PO drives. The OS is Windows 2000 Pro Server.
Each time the problem...
I thought I was the only type A that used the event log. It would be satisfying to only see pertinent things there. BTW, does anyone know what "imminent disk failure" mean?
;-) CR
My server is quite simple. It's Windows 2000 running Metaframe XPs FR3. Life seems good now that the printers are behaving.
The ISP I'm using is TimeWarner's Roadrunner business class. I can connect to it quite well from other roadrunner accounts. However, one of my DSL accounts has trouble...
Some of the advice in thread48-768609 I've used successfully to cure my own print aggrevations. I don't have a specific problem right now, but a general question along these lines. BTW, I'm running Metaframe XPs FR3 on a Win2k box with all it's updates.
The most important tip was the "well...
A friendly and knowledgeable woman in licensing tipped me off to the hotfix that addresses that specific problem. Funny how my reseller didn't know about it. You'd think that a patch that would correct imminent system wide print failures would come to mind immediately. Two hours and 35...
This is the second time Citrix printing stopped. The last time was a week ago. It was remedied by reinstalling the server from scratch. The server has been in production for only two weeks and on line (with Citrix) for about 6. On the rebuild, I moved from Windows 2003 back to Windows 2000...
Thanks guys, I see both utilities and will try to work with the more recent one.
I'm able to go on mycitrix.com. I don't have the subscription advantage, but that may not be an issue right now because I'm at FR3. Still, I don't see where anything might apply to my version of Citrix. I see...
I'm looking for the steps used to check the version (revision) of my Citrix. I know that it's MetaFrame XPs Feature Release 3. Is there a way to see which if any patches have been applied? Is there a guide that will describe how to fetch and apply new patches.
Thanks Again, CR
About once over the period of two weeks, my server will reboot on it's own. If I examine the event logs there seems to be some connection to ctxnotif.dll.
I'm running Metaframe XPs FR3 on Windows 2003 Server. The computer is based on an ASUS P4R800-VM motherboard with 2 Gb. The firmware on...
Spaz, Did you get an answer? I have what sounds like the same situation. My user will exit from a published application and the application will still show as running on the server. He can log back in to the published app, but then the server shows 2 sessions for the user - and two licenses...
With help from Thread48-739854 I was able to use the ALTADDR command on the server to redirect ICA traffic to the public address. That by itself wasn't enough.
A little book work with Harwood's "Inside Citrix MetaFrame XP" (unabashed plug) provided the last missing piece. On the client I had...
