I have an issue with the functionality of the plugin for excel basically the issue is this. When a windows 2000 user attempts to load the ppxlserver plugin the excel application DrWatson's with the following information:-
Application exception occurred:
App: excel.exe (pid=5984)...
Hi Petje/Jaymz thanks for your responses. Unfortunately neither of them is really ideal for my situation. NLB would be a good fit for most networks unfortunately this particular one is run across 64k mpls, I need to properly control (and limit) unnecessary traffic that goes across those lines so...

I need to find a way to configure an ica address in such a way that the client recieves two different destination ip's for one netbios or dns name. Basically I need to configure Citrix's web interface at a spoke site with a failover (not load balanced)of functionality at a central site...

During a period when the server is not accepting connections can you see if there are any idle sessions open. These will be sessions that only show up on the sessions tab and have no user name but the word idle in brackets as their name. Don't confuse these with sessions which are idle user...
I have experienced a similar problem. With a XPa farm that was built to replcae a 1.8 farm. It is not running in mixed mode and never has been. Both the 1.8 servers are on a different subnet and have been disabled. I have found that I can resolve the server names using either fqdn or netbios...
I have 6 machines in an XPe farm running against a SQL database. Every machine is windows 2000 with SP3 (yeah I know bad move) MDAC 2.7 The problem I have is this, gradually over the course of the day the memory allocated to imasrv.exe grows from an initial 8 ish MB to 40-50MB if I leave the...
The correct way to end a citrix session is to just use the logoff option on the startmenu of the client. If you are using a published application choosing file and exit on the application has the same effect. If your users are already doing this then take a look at you network card settings make...
I have experienced numerous problems with profiles created on windows nt being used on win 2k and visa versa. Specifically outlook/mapi and odbc things going awry. I agree with chrism0n terminal server profiles are far better.
Yes this is quite easily done. If you intend to use another machine as a vpn gateway or you have dedicated vpn hardware you won't even need to modify the citrix server. If you want to use citrix via a web browser take a look at Citrix Nfuse or Citrix Secure Gateway
You can run it but it's a huge resource hog. I've done it once but can't remember exactly how. I think I had to update the java virtual machine and the odbc drivers on the machine.
It can be done but you will need to build a new farm and migrate your servers into it. Assuming you are using SQL as a datastore the easiest way to do this is to create a new database. Build a new server, during install select the option to create new farm and define the odbc connection for the...
Do you mean the terminal services client licence? If so it's stored in HKLM\software\microsoft\mslicensing\store\licensexxx where xxx is a number between 000 and 999.
The way I like to look at this question is this. Is the application something I would install on a users desktop? If it is then it is reasonable to assume that running it in a metaframe environment is ok. If it is not and I think it's fair to say SQL isn't then I would sepperate them every time.
