I have a junk 350 that I'm spending way too much time fooling with, that I finally managed to get through all it's warm up paces, only to find I'm unable to clear the head. This one has many blank stripes on the clean test page. I've used a heart breaking amount of ink in self-cleaning modes...
I am guessing, but perhaps the cap/wipe/purge rubber gasket has come off from the steel part of the assembly.
Take out the maintenance tray and look inside the printer where it was. A flashlight of similiar light may help-
See the pinkish rubber strip with the drip points on it so the purged...
I was wary of trying the wrong board in the printer, so I emailed the seller and he also had a 350 pulled board. He said that he also encountered the same error code in the past, and swapping the board was the only way he managed to fix the problem.

I'm thinking it's easier to get another working motherboard than to reset whatever is causing the 4,006 error I have in one of my 350, and there is a 360 pulled board on ebay-

Having discoverd the bypas mode (duh) I was able to get to the menus and reset the mother board nvram. Nothing. still the 4,006.
I called a local qualified tech and he thought maybe the Head Nvram needed to be reset. Ugh. So...
No luck with swapping dallas nvrams- the error follows the mother board. Swapped the simms too. Same deal, fault 4006 during warm up when it gets to around 15 percent.
