A percentage is actually a fraction - divide your calculation by 100.
eg
=1/2 in general number format would display 0.5
=(1/2)* 100 in general number format would display 50
in precentage format the display would be
50% and 5000% recpectively.
In 2k an Access tbl/qry can be copied and pasted into Excel and numbers are numbers. In XP copy from a Access table or query and paste into a spredsheet and Numbers become text - is this a bug.
That's part or the reason why the whole affair seems so illogical. The 1 PC that behaves properly is the only one that still has the Novelle client and IPX/SPX protocols installed.

5 W98 Pcs sitting on a W2k server. On opening a particular sequence of programs (all accessing data from the W2k server) 4 PCs return an "insufficient memory" error - which may or may not hang the machine.
1 PC opens all appropriate programs and behaves impeccably.

I always sell it on the additional functionality available within Outlook. It can be a remarkbly easy sell!!
Outlook 2002 requires Exchange Server, which in turn requires W2K server to to facilitate shared calendars etc.
Assuming that your text box is in a form then your expression needs to refer to other controls on the form and not to to tables. If you have to refere back to tables use dlookup
