Hi,
I have a legacy Clipper app that has been running fine at client (bank) on W95/98 machines on NW 5.1 server. The recently upgraded the 3 pcs to NT4 and W2000. All 3 pcs get Internal Error 19 after entering about 4 records. This program runs fine on my NT4 box and at another client with...
Hi,
I use Blinker 3.2
result = swpruncmd("cmd /c batfile.bat")
batfile.bat has the command "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\WINWORD.EXE" iltopenb.doc /mILOPEN" in quotes.
I would think RUN would work quite similar.

Hi All FYI
In some situations, albeit older networks, NETBUI is still a viable solution to connect comps in the same lan. I relied on NB before the internet made TCP/IP the standard.
Only with XP has MS tried to hide NB. I still find it works in conjunction with TCP/IP. All protocols will...
I should be so lucky! I sent here to local Office Depot to get DLink (there was one there this morning) as opposed to MS or Siemens, the other offerings at our local OD. Out of DLink so she buys MS. Oh boy, software won't install. Insists there is a firewall. It is not enabled on the XP...
Thanks for the help.
The cable co. can provide 2 IP's on the same line. This does allow both comps to get access the internet but they can't see each other. Is that because the addresses are like:
208.180.100.1
208.180.200.2
I think this means they are not on the same subnet. Is it...
Thanks for the help. I agree, the routher is the way to go. I have one at the office and home. Am trying to help a friend at home.

No good deed goes unpunished.
Only one nic. Do I need two? Now the comp gets its IP from the cable modem. There is another comp on the lan/hub but not the same subnet, therefore I guess I do not have a local area connection?

Hi,
Does anyone know why 'Internet Connection Sharing' is not available on an existing Network Connection and all attempts to 'Add New Connection' winds up with the original. I want the use this XP comp in a home to share the cable modem. This is normally a no-brainer but something must be...
Hi,
Anyone know how to format an SQL WHERE clause for FoxPro ODBC. I have tried several formats and all return 'missing operand error.
WHERE date = #01/01/2000#
WHERE date = '01-01-2000'
WHERE date = '2000-01-01'
WHERE date = '20000101'
Thanks,

Thanks,
We will give it a shot if the problem doesn't go away. I am familiar with the the system and will back up the entire folder to another directory on the server.

Hi,
I have a client who has PO's that will not print. Not only old, but added as recently as today. They cannot receive material to the PO. If they 'DELETE' the PO and reenter then all is OK. Sounds to me like an index/db corruption.
Anybody heard of this?

Hi,
Having the same sort of problem on NT Server and one NT w/s.
When I click the MAS90 icon I get 'Unlock Region Failure' error followed by Dr Watson. 8 other w/s are working fine. Could this be due to improper shutdown? Any ideas on how to fix it. I know in the past we have seen a mssg...
Hi,
When I click the MAS90 icon I get 'Unlock Region Failure' error followed by Dr Watson. On WinNT 4.0. 8 other w/s are working fine. Could this be due to improper shutdown? Any ideas on how to fix it. I know in the past we have seen mssg that says to delete a certain session file...
