If the phone had a firmware version 1.61 or earlier and your TFTP server had a version later than the 1.61 your phone will try to upgrade when it boots. If this was you enviroment the phone will no longer be functional. Upgrade ANY 4630 set to version 1.61 THEN upgrade to the latest version...

You are missing the 46xxsetting.scr file. Download it from Avaya and then you should be able to get the phone to work. Also remember there is a firmware version specific to a 4630 set, make sure you use that one. Hope this helps Chris

I have used both, VPN and a terminal server. Both work great. I did have to play with the settings on the terminal server to drop the telnet session when I drop the PC connection. After I figured this out no problems. Chris
