I believe it is referring to the smtp server IP address itself, so whatever smtp server your using ie smtp.myisp.com in your Outlook client needs to have a static IP address.

Yeah, I have already realized the issue of not being able to use Word as your email editor. Yet another way to force a full Office 2003 upgrade I guess.

Also do a google search for clickyes which is a program that automatically clicks on the Yes for that question. My research has indicated it's a feature of Outlook that cannot be turned off.
Figure this one out. My Exchange Server Web Access site in IIS was missing the virtual directory for the public folders. Once added back in, all is well.
