My default font is Arial. When I create a new document, create a text box, and type, Arial is used. However, if I select all of that text and choose "no paragraph style" from the styles palette, it switches me to Times TT Roman.
Any idea how to change this?

That makes a little bit of sense. But when I select the paragraph and manually change it in the character palette from "0" to "metrics" the kerning changes to look more like what I want it to look like. I'm just not sure why it says "metrics" in the paragraph style but "0" in the paragraph palette.
