IBM Thinkpad 600
The BIOS battery is located under the memory cover, sort of tucked in the corner. It is usually yellow in color, and has a short white cable to a tiny plug. It tucks back under the case edge after replacement. Charlie- CincyCharlie

Wont shut down
I finally just reloaded W2000 and now it shuts down. I still can't get the CDRW to work. BIOS doesn't see it on bootup, but W2000 lists it in device manager (except it says it is a SCSI drive when its IDE) It reads fine, but as its not recognized on bootup I cant boot from it, and none of the...- CincyCharlie

Wont shut down
My W2000 machine when I try to shut down, gives a blue screen with the message Driver_Power_status(?)_Failure, then it restarts, rather than shutting off the machine. When I was installing a CDRW drive, I deleted an "unknown device" (yellow question mark icon). I think that is what is...- CincyCharlie
