Problem Installing HSP 56K Rise Modem
Thanks for the tips. However, I have not succeeded in alleviating the problem despite following instructions to the letter. Incidentally, I couldn't find an entry for disabling Com2. Is this the best port to install the modem on? Thanks Chris- ChrisVandoren

I'm trying to install an ARM modem (HSP 56K Modem Riser) on a system using Windows 98. The modem installs without a hitch , but upon testing it (using the more info button), I keep getting the message "Could not open communication port", whichever (manually configured) port I use.
