Environment :- win 2000 server,SP2 oracle :- 8.1.7 A JDBC Connection is used to execute a SQL query in a daemon thread. The connection is not closed for ever... Its used to execute the SQL for every 10Sec or so. The trasaction is commited, other resources like recordset, Stmts are released...- chaks
