Thank you for the Defrag idea. Tried that yesterday,it stayed at 33% for a long time but kept chuggin' along so I let it run overnite. This morning it was done 100% and the used space only dropped to 2.6GB.
A 3GB HD only about 10% used. In the last month or so the HD is almost completly full. ScanDisk tells me I have 2.9GB in 7,365 files but I can't find them in Explorer. Ran McAfee virus scan and found nothing. BTW this PC is running Win95...I know stop laughing...it serves it's purpose.
Any help...
The menu is set up like this:
Intuity Main Menu:
Customer/Services Administration
System Management
Disk Management (install disk is the only option)
or
Intuity Main Menu:
Unix Mangement
Removable Media Operations (the only option is to format a floppy under this menu)...
Do I have to do a full backup to format the tape (does this take the system offline when a full backup is done)? The nightly backups are evidently not formatting the tape.
The two computers are connected with what looks like a serial interface. I connect WinSPM via a com port.
As far as the tape issue, it is the same type of tape that was in the machine before. Everything used to work correctly until I checked the backup log, saw the error, then looked at the tape...

Our Intuity messaging system (audixcd 5.0.77) ate the backup tape. I can't find anywhere to format the new tape we purchased. The backup mounts the tape drive, but it says tape is write protected or absent. Does the new tape need to be formated?
Thanks in advance.
