OK. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software with same results. What I have found out that works is if I disable the card in device manager and then enable it, it connects properly with the proper settings. Having to disable and enable every time I need to connnect is going to be a pain...
Have a problem that is driving me nuts. I'm using a Sprint Paantech PX-500 mobile broadband data card. In the card settings using the connection manager software from Sprint, I select file and printer sharing and use client for Microsoft networks. With out these I cannot see the server or...
I cannot ping the mail server from either PC, VPN connected or not. One PC cconnects to excahnge server and the other does not. I thought I read that Netbios over tcp should be disabled on the external NIC.
I'm not for sure if I do or not. I'll have to figure out how to check that out. I'm using a Netopia router on a DSL connection. What started this whole mess is this - - The boss has two remote computers he works off of. One at his house and one in the car. Both connect to the network via VPN...
Thanks for the links. I had looked through one of them before, but I was more careful this time. One error was the NIC bindings were in the wrong order, so now WINS is working. Still having a problem pinging the external NIC IP on the server from any place.
SBS2000 server with exchange server. XPPro on remote computers. I can VPN into network using public IP but I cannot ping server public IP from remote workstation when it is disconnected from VPN. I can also telnet into port 25 on server. Original problem (and still is) that once the remote...
I have the workstation pointed to the WINS IP on the server, but still on success. FYI, I can ping the server IP using the network IP but not its public IP.
Please forgive me if this is in the wrong forum - I was not for sure whether to put it here or in the VPN area. Running SBS 2000 at the office and am trying to get the boss's workstation at home to connect to exchange server so he can access his email and calendar. Everything used to work great...
I want to use the query to produce three different variations of the same report. All employees for all dates, one employee for all dates, or one date for all employees.
I have a small and simple database I'm working with, so I imagine this is simple, but I can't get it to work. I created an eight field query based on a single table. In the first field "Employee" and the second field "Week Ending" I'm trying to enter criteria that will allow me to select a...
Do I need to forward any ports on my Linksys WRT54G router to my 2003 server if I'm trying to set up a site to site demand dial connection? Here is what I have: Base site - a SBS2000 server running exchange server. Remote site - a Server 2003 with four client computers. I went through the demand...
OK, I've changed it to a GC, but when I log onto a workstation, I still get the messaage that exchange server is unavailable. Maybe there is another setting I need to make or do I need to reboot the remote server and then give it some time to go through a replication.
