Yes, the problem sounds like a Fritz card problem.
The reason I asked for a Debug of "ppp" was to find out if it was Multilink PPP compatibility ( or Fritz setup) issue between the Cisco and the Fritz card.

Hello, I just did a test on my Laptop with nothing connected to the Serial COM port and ran Hyperterminal and
it showed "connected", so "connected" means nothing ( I just learned that today ).
Also compare the RJ45 cable ends, the wires will be rolled.

I use WINDOWS 98, Hyperterminal 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, and 1 stop bits, flow control "none". The only other problem would be the cable between the Laptop (pc) and the Router Console port.
