This is not strictly an XP only query, however, it seems to fit here.
I need to find a way to automatially run a batch file which launches an application upon the exit of one.
Effectively I want to relaunch an application if it quits for any reason.
Anyone have any ideas how best to do this...
Why not use Microsoft Access
You can store the infomation into the table, and create a Form using the Form wizard (if you must) to create the layout of the Label you wish.

Do you use Roaming profiles, or just simply have each user with their own machine?
If the latter is the case, try removing his user profile. Login as Local Administrator, and goto c:\documents and settings\
