We use VPN but also have two Wins servers. Sometimes when my mapping does not work for a specific drive, say the V drive, I run a bat file with the Net Use command, eg
net use v: \\servername\userdata
Not sure if this would still work without a Wins server defined.

In the Office application, right click to the right of any Toolbar. From the menu of Toolbar options, choose PDFMaker 6.0. This will put the 3 Adobe buttons back.

Can also happen if you have a Brother MFC-8500 printer installed (go figure). See thread 463-439566 on this site for details on the fix from Brother. I had a user with this problem and the fix worked.
If you are using XP, then 4.65.26 or later is the version to use. I would not even attempt anything prior to .26. Secondly, you need to be registered and have a services agreement with Nortel to download their software.
We have this problem with ePO 2.5.1.252 with McAfee 4.5.1 (Vshwin32 goes to 99%) and McAfee 7.0 (McShield goes to 99%). The difference between the 2 is that with 4.5.1, the PC is still useable. With 7.0, the PC is rendered inoperable. Someone on this Forum already pointed to the event logs as...
Nate1749 is the closest response to the issue. In a 'nut shell', Lotus Notes can provide encryption and signing within the same Notes domain if the Client and Server have been configured to do so. However, mail sent to an address interpreted by the Notes Mail Client/Server process as external...
1911man and reissmann
I received confirmation yesterday from one of our testers that 4.65.26 does resolve the permissions problem when installed as an Application.

1911man - I had a look at page 24, its in reference to installing, not using. I have not downloaded 4.65.26 yet but will let you know the outcome of my testing. I do not hold out any hope that it solves the problem.
reissman - Except in rare circumstances, we run the Client as an Application...

We have encountered the same problem since we moved from 2.62.xx to 4.65.xx. The user must have local admin rights. I have formally issued a requirements document to Nortel (June 2nd) requesting that they change this as it is preventing us from 'locking down' PC configurations.

Installing Nortel Client 4.65.18 (as an application) on Windows 2000 also fixed the 'Driver Failure' problem. Tested with a user who does not have local admin rights. Dont know why this worked since there does not appear to be anything specific in the release notes. Maybe it was...
Login Failure due to: Driver Failure
To: kjheels70
Looks like a User has to have Admin rights, being a Power User is not enough as you discovered. We solved the problem on XP by going to Nortel Client 4.65.18. We have yet to try this on Win 2000 but I will advise if this fixes the problem.
Login Failure due to : Driver Failure
We are having the same problem as KJHEELS70, driver failure with version 4.65.09. Its intermittent, only seems to happen for users who do not have administrative rights on their PC'c, mostly on Win XP but now some Win 2000 as well. It makes no sense and any...

If this is happening when Windows starts up check what is trying to load at the time of crash (Dr Watson may help). I had this problem on one W98 PC only and traced it to the exact point at which the McAfee console was loading. Vshield loads first then the McAfee Console. I had to...
