    MyCallpilot web install

I am reinstalling CallPilot on our web server and cannot remember how I configured the security in IIS and on the directory. Right now I am getting an invalid credentials error. Also, I don't like the fact that "mycallpilot" is a user that is put into the administrators group when the setup is...

How can I export more than 1 object from a db at a time

I have a lot of objects in an access db that I want to export to another access database (because I security issues) and I want to be able to select all objects or multiple objects and export them instead of the way I have to select 1 object, then export, then go to the next one, etc. does...

Error message doesn't work as desired

You know what, you're right. I was just trying to prevent the user from exiting before all fields were selected, but as long as they know what's going on, they can fix it them selves (though for some reason, they just can't understand how to use a computer). Thanks for all the help! Cammi

Error message doesn't work as desired

Thanks for all your help, but I think I have figured out what is happening... If I click in the field before making a selection, the msg appears and I cannot exit the subform (which is good). I have been just clicking the "accept" button and the msg pops up, but allows me to exit the...

Error message doesn't work as desired

It is still allowing me to exit the subform before all the options are selected. It's almost as if it thinks a selection has been made even though there is nothing displayed in the list box on the form. It works correctly on the first row of the form, but then after the second, I am allowed...

Error message doesn't work as desired

I have a subform that pops up and contains listboxes for a selection of records that meet certain criteria in an Access 2000 db. An option from each list box must be selected to build a number that appears on the main form. However, if the user doesn't select any options or just a few, etc...

Operation must be an updateable query error

Yes it contains a timestamp column. If I view the records in access the column looks as if there are no values in it, however viewing the table in SQL Server, the table contains "Binary" in the column. One thing I noticed in the properties of the Autonumber was that the field could...

Operation must be an updateable query error

I have a function in Access 2000 that keeps giving me an "Operation must be an updateable query" error every time I try and tab from the field. I am only trying to update a field linked SQL table (autonumber). I can run a query in the SQL analyzer and the update works fine, but for...

    Using Shell to open Word

I have a VB app with a button that is to perform some tasks, one of them being to open a word document that has been saved on a server share. This executable is run off of the server. The problem is that the path to the word executable doesn't seem to work for the client machine if I use the...

Checking for existing file, then killing it

I am trying to get this module to work within my Access2000 macro and it works the first time, however, if I physically delete the acadian.che file (for testing purposes), then I never can get to the part where I need to rename to acadian.txt once I add pass the acadian.che file. I believe that...

Append to non-access table with primary keys

I understand what you are saying. This is a SQLBase db and I am creating an access table to append from. So I have this append query that takes all the fields from the access table I created and tries to import them into the table I am appending to. The problem is I get this error about the...

Append to non-access table with primary keys

I have 2 tables in Access97. One is an access table (je_entry) and the other is linked in Access via ODBC (sysadm_journal). I want to append data to the sysadm_journal table from je_entry. However, je_entry does not have all the fields as sysadm_journal. And to add to that, all fields must...
