I think the problem is that your .dwt file still has the default layout1 layout. Open the .dwt file and delete it by right clicking on the layout tab and select delete... You can also delete the unwanted layout3-layout1 from the drawing described above, by using the same method.

Todd, Not having much luck converting so many drawings to monochrome. On another note, I am having a hard time viewing the posts on my thread. For example I can not pull up your last response again. All I see is my question and an area to reply. Am I missing something? Jonathan

Todd, Thank you for your reply. I'm not using the batch plot utility because I am using ACAD 2005 and it is not supported, however I am familiar with it. The 2005 publisher has most of the same functionality and then some. Are you telling me to assign the monochrome, color dependant plot style...

Has anyone had a problem with overides to a dimension style comming back every time you reopen a drawing? If so do you know why and how to stop it. Could it have something to do with the xrefs in the drawing? Thanks

It appears that the attribute data ignores the plotstyle assigned to the layer that it is on. Is there a work arround for this?

Double check to make sure you have all of the AutoCAD service packs. I had a simalar problem with AutoCAD 2000 and any HP printer on Windows XP. I downloaded a service pack from AutoDesk and it fixed the problem.

I while back when I was working for a different company, I was using a release of AutoCAD that had Parent and Child dimension styles. I am now using AutoCAD 2000 and this functionality does not seam to be available. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
